Thank goodness today is the final sea day. Three in a row is my breaking point.
Today is like yesterday. Most people spend the day around the pool. I understand the appeal of the sun for them. At home you just feel the sun. Here it coaxes and lulls you into this hypnotic sense of relaxation. Even someone like myself that hates laying out is doing it a bit. At the end of this trip I'll post a picture showing what laying out for just 4-minutes per side has done for me. Around the pool there are quite a few people that have leathered skin. I'm guessing they can't heed the warning to moderate their exposure to that tempting sun.
Tonight we're almost 2000 miles from any significant land mass. As a result there is no light nor man-made pollution in the sky. No clouds are visible in any direction. The result is a spectacular viewing of stars, the likes I've never seen before. It's almost like raindrops of light everywhere. Being able to witness this is now the highlight of the trip.
